Marking a new beginning
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as
Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may
live a new life.”
Romans 6:4
Baptism is a profound step of
faith in response to the grace of Jesus. It’s a public declaration of a
transformed life, a celebration of being made new in Christ. We believe that
baptism is an essential part of a believer's journey, symbolising the washing
away of sin and the beginning of a new life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
At Ipswich Uniting Church we offer baptism for both adults and children.
Parents may also wish to celebrate the life of their new child through a service of thanksgiving.
