Welcome to Ipswich Uniting Church, a young church, drawing on a long legacy, looking forward into the future.

We are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and discover the abundant life that he offers. We are a community of believers who come from all walks of life, united by our faith in Jesus and our desire to make a positive impact in the world.

We understand that it can be daunting to join any group of people. We will try to make you feel at home.

When you arrive one of our team will welcome you. They might introduce you to others and invite you to morning tea. We will ask you for your name and if we can contact you again. We won’t mention you from the front of the church and you won’t be made to stand so everyone can see who you are.

Whatever makes you comfortable. We have people who wear shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses and others who wear formal shirts, trousers and dresses. A ball gown would be out of place, but apart from that you won’t be judged.

Children are very welcome in all of our services. Our 10:30am service offers an excellent children’s program that you’ll find they won’t want to miss.

Giving money is always a personal response. We no longer pass a plate around during our worship services. We do however, pause during our service to acknowledge the giving of members and to thank God for his blessings in our lives.

Ipswich Uniting Church respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians, the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul peoples of the Yugara/Yagara Language Group, as custodians of the land and waters on which we worship. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and affirm the Covenant between the Uniting Church and the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress.
